What is SGIS OpenAPI?
SGIS OpenAPI provides a map API that can be used to implement a website using the JavaScript (JacaScript) language,
and a Data API that can be used to implement a website for services in the Rest format.
Notes on using census data maps of the SGIS
Census data maps of the SGIS are created by using maps of the road name address of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and background data of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (National Geographic Information Institute).
Therefore, these maps have no legal effect and can be used only for reference and statistical purposes.
Notes on N/A (Not Available) values
As for small area statistics such as aggregation districts of the SGIS, a value less than 5 can't be expressed owing to a risk of personal information disclosure. In such cases, data are expressed as N/A. Be careful when using such data.
Data on the SGIS are based on administrative district of Dong.
Notes on using SGIS services
Census-related statistics of the SGIS (excluding data of some special enumeration districts, foreigners and personal transport activities, and reflecting recent administrative boundaries) may be inconsistent with other publicized statistics (e.g. KOSIS data).
Pay attention to the followings when using the SGIS.
1. Exclusion
- Population, household and housing-related census: Special enumeration districts (diplomatic office overseas, prison, juvenile detention center, military camp, auxiliary police company, auxiliary fire fighting unit) and foreigners
- Establishment-related census: Personal transport activities (without a fixed business location)
2. Inconsistency resulting from boundary update gap
- SGIS statistics, which reflect recent administrative boundaries, may be inconsistent with KOSIS data.
3. Characteristics of statistical data for 2015
- Statistical data for 2015 don't include the survey items such as the population by educational attainment, the population by sex & marital status, and households by occupancy type.
(Excluded from the complete enumeration of the 2015 Population and Housing Census)
